This picture shown above is my Bauhaus inspired pattern I created for a project in my Digital Media and Graphic Design class. Before the process of us creating our pattern, we researched and looked further into the Bauhaus art school and the most well known artists who attended it back in the years 1919 - 1933.
After creating and completing our mood boards and color pallets, we moved on over to paper and designed nine different thumbnails and my goal was to make it feel abstract and retro.

Once we finished that, we moved on over to photoshop and created a product mockup using the pattern we created in illustrator.
The most prominent elements of design would be shape and lines. The square, triangles, and tiny little circles would be considered shape while the straight and zigzag lines added into the pattern would be lines. The most noticeable principles of design would be pattern / repetition and that should be obvious just because of the name. The shapes and lines are repeating itself over and over to create a pattern.
